Merry Christmas!

I hope this time of year finds you in joyous spirits.  Now is the time to enjoy your family, friends, students and colleagues.  This is a good time to reflect on your influence as a teacher.  How has your relationship with your students impacted their success?

I know that teachers this time of year are tired and are in need of a break, as well as students. Maybe we are tired of hearing the same Christmas songs that we’ve been listening to since October. However, maybe to that student, learning Christmas music completed a personal goal.  Jingle Bells to that student may spell success, and it should.  We should all remember WHY we do what we do, and enjoy the process.

As we end 2015 and approach 2016, let us remember why we teach, the love we have for music, and the love we have for our students. Lets reflect on the year, our successes and how we can improve. Lets remember the real reason we are called to do this job.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

      Hello Pat,

The best way to find a teacher is to visit our “Find an ETMTA Teacher” tab. There you will be able to read bios submitted by our members and contact them directly.

All the best to you and your granddaughter!
