     Achievement Auditions  April 13-14, Honor’s Recital April 15, 2018

Held in the Spring, Achievement Auditions has students play three memorized pieces for a judge, receiving a rating from one to five on the combined pieces. Points are awarded at each rating level, with 6 points being awarded to the highest rating.  Students amassing 15 points receive a trophy, and ribbons are awarded for ratings of one, two, or three. Approximately thirty students are selected for an Honor’s Recital.

     Fall Festival –  November 2 at UT Tyler’s Choir Room

  November 3 at UT Tyler’s Braithwaite Recital Hall

Held in the November, the ETMTA Fall Festival stresses performance etiquette as students prepare one memorized piece to perform before a judge panel in a recital setting. Students receive ratings of Superior, Excellent or Very Good.

     Helen Elbert Music Festival- January 19 Chamber Music Masterclass/Workshop at UT Tyler, April 5 Original Composition Masterclass at Tyler Junior College, April 13 Festival Performance at First Presbyterian Church, Tyler, 6 p.m.

A tribute to emeritus member Mrs, Helen Elbert, the Helen Elbert Music Festival is a chamber music festival created for the fun of musicians playing together.  Students to area musicians are invited to participate. The Festival consists of a workshop as well as a performance.

Christmas Recital- December 1, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 6:30 p.m.

The Church setting provides a beautiful beginning for the Christmas Season.  Pieces can be played with or without music.
